Our client is a plastics manufacturing company. Seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to lead and manage the sales department. The Sales Manager will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to dive into those needs in a productive way. This person will be responsible for leading an experienced sales team. MUST have plastics experience. This is one of our top clients and they offer a great deal of stability and growth potential. This is an excellent overall opportunity with a stable company!
-Meet with customers to discuss their needs and identify the quality of the company’s relationship with them
-Implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
-Lead customer accounts across all sales channels and seek ways to tap into new markets
-Provide in-house support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals
-Work with sales associates to keep account activities and literature up to date.
-Provide reports of department goals and objectives.
-Lead the entire sales team which includes the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the sales team. Hire and train employees, planning, budgeting and problem resolution, etc.
-Participate and take part in key trade shows.
-Take part in Marketing and Advertising
-Willingness to travel
5+ years of sales management experience in plastics. Bachelor’s Degree in related field is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
-Excellent presentation and negotiation skills; team player and strong leader.
-Strong decision-making abilities
-A likable and outgoing personality with the ability to build rapport quickly.
-Analyze information skillfully and a real “problem solver".
-Excellent communicator. Strong ability to create compelling sales presentations.
